For over 125 years the King family have been regular visitors to the piano owners of Gloucester.

The family business started in 1886 with my Great-Grandfather, John James King, and many Gloucester pianists will remember my family’s business in Bedford Street, which was handed down to my Grandfather, Hogarth Cecil King.

The next piano tuner in my family, was my father Bryan King. And now 125 years after it all began the King family are still tuning pianos across Gloucestershire.

Indeed there are some pianos in Gloucestershire that have been tuned by all four generations of my family. With regards to piano tuning little has changed since my Great-Grandfather’s day and I still have some of the equipment he used.
